High Specification MIDI cable. 5-pin DIN to 5-pin DIN

For connecting keyboards, effects and other midi controlled devices. Ideal for both studio and live sound applications.

This high specification cable has all five pins wired. Suitable for use in all standard MIDI applications as well as extended versions of the MIDI standard which make use of the extra "unused" pins.

The MIDI standard only requires 2 cores and shield to be wired (pin 4 +ve, 5 -ve, 2 shield) so many MIDI cables only have these pins wired. Our high specification cables have ALL five pins wired and are suitable for all standard MIDI applications, "extended" MIDI and non-standard/proprietory equipment which make use of the additional pins to add extra signalling or power.

Also suitable for use as AudioDIN leads and many other audio and data applications that require a "straight" cable with 5-pin DIN plugs, such playback/record connections for older stereo and hi-fi components such as tape desks and other equipment to amplifiers (Quad, Naim etc) with 5-pin DIN sockets.
